Horses at the Wanneroo Show
  Showjumping Video
What a great show we are about to have, with many equine activities taking place on the main arena.
Breeds – ranging from large bold Warmbloods to the small and cute Miniatures.
Show Horses will be strutting their beauty in the Official Hack and Pony Rings. Also, the riders of tomorrow will be exhibiting their skills in the encouragement ring.
Show Jumping will again have you sitting on the edge of your seat while cheering on the young riders as they will their ponies to jump the amazing course - and breathtaking wonder as the senior riders guide their horses over the tower of jumps. To close the day a demonstration of skill and expertise by riders who represented W.A. in the Prince Phillips Games.

Wanneroo Gift Race – Saturday 28 November 2009
This year will see the first running of the Wanneroo Gift race, sponsored by Bankwest and run concurrently with the Wanneroo Show.
The Wanneroo Gift features a 70m, 120m and 550m gift, a 1500m handicap and a 120m novice event, with $4000 in prize money to be distributed amongst WA’s leading track athletes.
While the 120m events will no doubt attract the attention of the crowd, a big feature event of the day will be the middle distance 550m and 1500m handicaps.
The track for these races is modelled on the famous Bay Sheffield meet in Adelaide, with tight bends surrounding the gift track making for spectacular racing.
Athletics WA Project Officer Sam Maxwell predicts a sensational day of racing. “I am really looking forward to this year’s races,” he said.
“Being the first year the event is held at Wanneroo, I hope this will be the begining of a long partnership between Athletics WA and the Wanneroo Show.
“Without doubt, the handicapping will make for some interesting racing among WA’s elite athletes and ensure the crowd is kept entertained.”
Racing will commence after 4pm on the arena with heats of the 120m Novice and 550m if required.
