Pemberton Forest Stay offers quality, budget accommodation in Western Australia's beautiful Southern Forest, nine kilometres from the town of Pemberton.

A village of six timber cottages, Pemberton Forest Stay is suitable for families, groups, couples and individuals. Its historic roots as the mill workers settlement of Pimelia provide a unique charm; while its location amongst majestic karri trees and farmland provides a perfect setting to enjoy a tranquil escape.

Your Hosts
Don and Coby are your friendly hosts at Pemberton Forest Stay. Both are happy to share with you their knowledge of the region and of the natural environment and will do what they can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Pemberton Forest Stay provides a wide range of accommodation, with three of our cottages set up for families, while the other three are better suited to groups. Our cottages include:

Zamia - a cosy two bedroom cottage which sleeps a couple or family of up to five comfortably.

Wattle and Karri - three (Wattle) and four (Karri) bedroom cottages that can each sleep up to twelve comfortably; containing a mixture of queen, double and single beds. Perfect for families.

Banksia and Sheoak - each three bedroom cottages can sleep 14 to 16 people in bunk bed accommodation. Perfect for groups!
Pimelia - this four-bedroom cottage sleeps up to 28 people in bunk bed accommodation. Again, perfect for large groups!

Each cottage contains a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave and stove with oven). All cottages also have a lounge with a cosy wood fire and their own bathroom. Additional toilets and showers are provided adjacent to the larger cottages.

All linen, including towels, is provided.

Aside from the facilities in each cottage, we also have two undercover barbecue areas – ideally suited for a relaxing meal on summer nights.

Other facilities include a laundry and a telephone for guest use.

Our spacious grounds next to Big Brook State Forest provide ample room for children and we have a range of indoor and outdoor games available to guests for free. We also have a beach volleyball court.

There are several walk trails commencing from Pemberton Forest Stay, ranging from a one-kilometre stroll through the forest to longer forest walks to Big Brook Dam or nearby wineries. We are also only 800 m from the world-class long distance walking route, the Bibbulmun Track, which provides some lovely day walks through the Karri forest right on our doorstep. Pick-ups for Bibbulmun Track walkers are available - just ask when you book your stay with us.

We have a library of reference books available for wildflower, bird and nature lovers; as well as a book exchange for those just wanting to switch off with their nose in a good book!

We also provide a home to seven kangaroos who were all rescued when young and are not able to survive in the wild. Guests are welcome to join us when feeding them their carrots and muesli each day!

School leavers are considered for this property but are accepted at the discretion of the owner.
